Lunchtime Supervisor

Brookvale Primary School is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team to work 6.25 hours per week . As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that our children have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime. You will help to create a positive environment where children can eat, play and socialise, while supporting their wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour.

About the role

You will:

Supervise children during lunchtime, both in the dining area and on the playground. Help to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children. Encourage positive behaviour and support children to resolve minor disagreements appropriately. Build positive and respectful relationships with children. Support children to develop positive social skills and enjoy their lunchtime. Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour procedures. Work as part of a supportive team and communicate effectively with colleagues. About you

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with children and is committed to their wellbeing. Is patient, caring and approachable. Can communicate clearly and build positive relationships with children. Is confident supporting children to manage their behaviour and resolve minor conflicts. Can work calmly and effectively as part of a team. Understands the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe. Is reliable, responsible and able to use their own initiative. Previous experience of working with children would be desirable, but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
