School Cleaner

About the Role You will play an important part in creating a safe, welcoming and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive school community. Key Responsibilities Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas to a high standard Empty bins, remove waste and ensure recycling procedures are followed Vacuum, sweep, mop and polish floors as required Wipe down desks, surfaces, touch points and equipment Refill soap, paper towels and other hygiene supplies Ensure cleaning materials are used safely and stored correctly Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Site Manager Follow all school safeguarding, health & safety and infection‑control procedures Person Specification Reliable, punctual and able to work independently High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential - training will be provided What We Offer Supportive and welcoming school community Training and guidance from an experienced site team Regular working hours and a stable, long‑term role An additional week of paid overtime is available during the summer holidays to undertake a full deep clean of the school.
