Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant with a deep understanding of special educational needs. Join the ‘Place Where Brilliance Begins’, a vibrant, happy and nurturing school located in the village of Walgrave. This is a rewarding role, working with inspiring pupils, in a close-knit team of talented and ambitious staff. Responsible to: Headteacher, SENDCo Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only. (8.45am - 3.15pm with half an hour lunch break) Salary: Grade E salary point 4-5. (Salary to be pro rata based on full time equivalent salary £25,185 - £25,583) Contract: Named child Are you who we are looking for? We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, and inspirational individual, who will be committed to the pupils’ welfare and achievement. The right candidate needs to be passionate about achieving the best for the pupils and about making a positive difference. Your role will require you to work in a small team and 1:1, ensuring the daily needs of the pupil are met. Specifications: Experience of working with children with a range of special education needs. Committed to the role and be able to work with children who have varied needs. Capable of building relationships with the pupils and be willing to be flexible to support their specific needs Willing to undergo specific training from outside agencies in order to support the children with specific areas of need. Must be able to work in an adaptive way to ensure children are able to be part of everyday school life. Able to communicate effectively with parents, outside agencies and professionals.
