Job description

Parkside Community School are seeking to appointment enthusiastic and experienced Teaching & Learning Assistants, Level 2, to provide effective support for students with SEND and support the delivery of a differentiated curriculum as directed by the SEND Manager. GCSE level of education A-C or equivalent (to include EM) /A levels A good level of appropriate ICT skills Experience of supporting young learners in an organisational setting Experience of working with pupils within an agreed behaviour management policy Clear understanding of the Key stage 3 and 4 national curriculum Work constructively as part of a team Ability to relate well to children and adults Good written and spoken communication skills Good organisational skills Understanding of how data is used at KS3 and KS4 An understanding of individual learning styles Ability to identify potential barriers to learning and engage in strategies to overcome these barriers Ability to maintain student records and feedback to relevant staff Ability to employ a range of coaching skills including group work Knowledge, understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion informed by practical experience and application Knowledge, understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with students What we offer: - a small and friendly school - fantastic students - an ambitious and supportive staff body - huge support and progression opportunities - excellent support from the Embark Federation central team - excellent ongoing CPD and career development within our school, and across the Embark family of schools - an impressive range of Embark employee benefits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yUk8ZlSAR0 We actively welcome visits and would be delighted to show you around our very special school.
