Job description

JOB TITLE: Teaching Assistant REPORTS TO: SENDCo and Assistant SENDCO SALARY SCALE: NJC point 4 HOURS: 31.25 hours per week includes a 30 minute lunchtime supervision duty (8.55am to 3.4pm, Monday to Friday, term time only) We are keen to recruit a teaching assistant to join our existing team. You will work with supportive and collaborative colleagues in supporting our pupils with their learning under the supervision of the SENDCo. We have a wide range of students with additional needs and our teaching assistants work with the students both in class and in small group settings. Please see the attached job description and person specification for more details about the role. The start date for the position is September 2026 and the closing date for this round of applications is midday on Friday 4th September 2026. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS will be required.
