About the Role As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of our team, helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally. Your role will include: Working under the guidance of teachers to support learning in the classroom and, when needed, supervise classes for short-term, pre-planned cover. Delivering structured support for pupils, including contributing to Individual Education, Behaviour and Support plans and guided reading sessions. Supporting teachers with planning, assessment and accurate recording of pupil progress. Providing pastoral support; assist with pupils’ personal needs, first aid and wellbeing practises. Accompanying pupils on visits and extracurricular activities and help run out-of-class provision (breaks, lunchtimes) as required. Using ICT to support learning and help develop pupils’ confidence with technology. Encouraging resilience, independence, and confidence in our pupils Contributing to the school’s high standards of behaviour and achievement This is a hands-on role where you will have direct impact on pupils’ learning and wellbeing every day, offering a meaningful chance to directly impact children’s lives and be part of a caring, forward-thinking school community. About You We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journeys Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic, with a positive and proactive attitude Holds a Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in supporting teaching and learning Has experience working with children with additional needs, including communication challenges Understands the primary curriculum and can adapt support to meet diverse pupil needs Works well as part of a team and values collaboration Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills Holds high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour If you share our commitment to inclusion, respect, and nurturing every child’s potential, you will thrive at Christ Church.
