Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant Bury CofE Primary School, part of Grace Schools At Bury CofE Primary School we are committed to creating the foundations to build successful futures. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and play a key role in ensuring high quality teaching and learning for all pupils across the school. We are also advertising for a Breakfast Club Assistant and this role could be combined with the TA role for the right candidate. Find out more about our school by visiting: https://bury.demat.org.uk/ Key responsibilities: Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and skills to support pupils' learning Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities Organise and manage appropriate learning environments and resources Pay, Hours and Contract: Points 5 (FTE £25,583 per annum) approx £15,899 pro-rata 27.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year permanent Qualifications and skills: A minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or above, or an equivalent qualification NVQ Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent Have experience of working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant Principles and practices of high-quality teaching and learning Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and members of the community High levels of adaptability and flexibility Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people About Grace Schools It is an exciting time to join us as we move into the next era of the Trust as The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT) becomes Grace Schools.
