Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) Join Our Team We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our pastoral team at Iveshead College. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people by supporting their emotional wellbeing, resilience and personal development. Working closely with the SENDCO, and wider pastoral staff, you will provide targeted emotional support to students who are experiencing social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Job Requirements Holds an accredited ELSA qualification or is willing to undertake the training. Has experience of working with children or young people, preferably in a secondary school setting. Holds a NVQ3 in support teaching or learning or equivalent Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is calm, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with young people. Has a good understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs. Can maintain confidentiality whilst recognising safeguarding responsibilities.
