Job description

Our Opportunity We are looking for two enthusiastic staff members to deliver fun activities to pupils after school. These opportunities are perfect for teaching assistants wanting to boost their working hours, childminders considering a move into a school-based role, or retired teachers and TAs looking to put their valuable skills and experience to good use. We can discuss role preferences further during the interview process or at the offer stage. Key Duties: Deliver engaging play activities that encourage creativity, learning, and social development. Set up and organise resources, equipment, and club facilities to create an exciting environment for children. Provide high-quality supervision, ensuring children are safe, happy, and supported at all times. Prepare and serve healthy snacks, promoting good nutrition and positive eating habits. Respond to accidents and incidents, administering basic first aid when required. Support children's individual care needs with kindness, patience, and respect. Maintain accurate attendance records and essential club documentation. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained throughout each session. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and school staff through effective communication. Handle and record parent payments accurately and confidentially. In addition to the above, the Supervisor will: Be responsible for ensuring delivery and leading the service. Take a lead role in planning activities. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the club. Oversee and manage the attendants. Report club performance and issues to the school leadership team. Responsible for purchasing food, equipment and resources. Essentials Skills: Experience of working with children in a play work or educational setting. An understanding of and commitment to the provision of good quality childcare. An understanding of food hygiene rules. Ability to plan and deliver safe activities relevant to the age of the children. Current first aid certificate. (Supervisor role) Recognised childcare qualification at level 3 or equivalent.
