Pupil Specific 1:1 Teaching Assistant Magdalen Academy 27.5 hours per week Term time plus 1 week Salary - MRS Scale D Point 6 - Point 7 actual salary £16,540 - £16,803 (Full time annual salary £25,989 - £26,403) This is a fixed term contract until 21st July 2027, due to this position being pupil specific Interview Date: 8th September Unity Education Trust are recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Magdalen Academy, providing individual support to a Key Stage 2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting children in KS2, particularly those with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support the pupil’s learning, emotional regulation and behaviour, helping them to access the curriculum and develop positive relationships. You will play a key role in building a trusting relationship with the child, acting as a positive role model, and responding proactively to their individual needs. Please note that the role does involve some regular physical activity e.g. supporting intimate care, interacting with students through play on the floor and responding promptly to escalated situations. This does not remove our obligation to make adjustments where appropriate.
