About the role

Braeburn Primary and Nursery Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing and Behaviour Lead to join our hardworking and supportive staff team. We are looking to appoint someone who will work alongside our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Head of School to promote and support the safety of all pupils. This will involve; working as part of the wellbeing and behaviour team within the school to be an advocate for the most vulnerable of learners. The role will also involve leading colleagues to provide support to pupils to reduce the barriers to their learning whilst providing or suggesting additional or specific support to promote children’s emotional wellbeing. The position will include; supporting children's behaviour for learning within the classroom context, providing planned one to one support, personalised and bespoke group interventions focused on improving children's wellbeing and emerging lower level mental health needs. The role will also support and lead whole school behaviour incidents and responding to children in crisis who are having difficulty with behaviour routines and expectations.

Communicating effectively with parents and carers will also be a key part of the role. Our central aim is to enable all children and staff to develop as aspirational learners and leaders who strive to reach their goals and achieve their potential.
