Job description

As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that students have a high-quality learning experience when their usual teacher is away from school. You will manage classroom behaviour to ensure pupils stay on task and facilitate the activities that have been designed by teaching staff to ensure that students complete the work in an effective learning environment. If you are passionate about the young people in our community and want to be a part of ensuring their bright futures, then we would really like to hear from you. This role offers you the chance to step in and lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, primarily for KS3 and KS4 students, with occasional work at KS5. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a broader contribution across the Academy. This is a permanent role starting from September 2026, working for 32.5 hours per week, term time only. About Us The Becket School is a secondary school located in West Bridgford, Nottingham. We are an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school. We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. You will: Supervise the students in KS3, KS4 and occasional KS5, working on pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
