Job description

The Governors in support of the Directors at Our Lady & St Benedict’s are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic class teacher to join our friendly, hardworking and committed team. We require an individual who will maintain the highest levels of effectiveness and pedagogical development throughout their career and vitally, will celebrate and reflect our children’s unique talents and gifts. The Early Years Leader is a senior leadership post responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision at Our Lady & St Benedict Catholic Academy (Nursery - 30 place and Reception - 30 place). As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) the post-holder will drive outstanding provision, outcomes and pastoral care for our youngest pupils, ensuring that every child is known, loved and supported in line with the school’s Catholic mission: “Loving, Learning and Looking Forward with Christ.” Our new Early Years Lead will: Be committed to actively upholding the catholic ethos of our school Be a good and better classroom practitioner, committed to raising standards Be creative, imaginative and innovative Have high expectations of pupil achievement, attainment and behaviour Have good communication skills at all levels We can offer you: A welcoming and friendly school with well-motivated, happy children Dedicated and committed team members A supportive Board of Directors and Governing Body Strong links with other Collegiate schools A strong commitment to your professional development A positive environment in which to develop your own ideas and initiatives The post will be offered on a Catholic Education Service Contract. Our Lady & St Benedict are part of the St Gabriel the Archangel Multi Academy Trust who are a living wage employer. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
