Job description

Grade: Grade 3, £26,388 - £27,188 per annum, pro rata Approximately £19,133 – £19,714 per annum (0.72508 FTE) About us and the role We are looking to appoint a Learning Coach to join Krishna Avanti Primary School and support children in their learning and development. Working alongside teachers and school leaders, you will provide flexible individual, small-group and whole-class support, helping children to engage confidently with their learning, develop their skills and build their independence. You will build strong, positive relationships with children, recognising their individual strengths, needs and personalities, and responding thoughtfully to help them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference to their learning, wellbeing and development. Interviews will be held during the week commencing 14th September 2026. School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time. What will you do? Provide individual, small-group and whole-class learning support, helping children to access the curriculum and make positive progress. Build positive, supportive relationships with children, recognising their individual strengths, needs and personalities and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing. Work closely with teachers, inclusion staff and external professionals to adapt learning and provide appropriate support, including for children with SEND and those for whom English is an additional language. Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, sharing observations and feedback with teachers and responding flexibly to the changing needs of children throughout the school day. Promote safeguarding, inclusion and the values of The Avanti Way, while actively contributing to the wider life of the school and your own professional development. What are we looking for?
