Job description

Do you have the leadership skills to inspire a team and the enthusiasm to deliver high-quality wraparound care that supports children to thrive? New Horizons Primary School are seeking to appoint a Coastguards Lead to the lead the day-to-day operation of the wraparound care provision ensuring children enjoy a safe, engaging and nurturing environment before and after the school day. Leading a dedicated team of playworkers, you will create an inclusive and stimulating environment where children can relax, play, socialise and develop new skills. You will work closely with school leaders, parents and carers to ensure the provision reflects the needs of the school community and delivers an outstanding experience for every child. Your role: For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached job description Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of our wraparound care provision, ensuring a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for every child. Inspire and support the Coastguard playworker team, promoting high standards of care, safeguarding and wellbeing. Plan and deliver a varied programme of fun, inclusive and stimulating activities that support children's development through play. Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues creating a supportive community that meets the needs of all children. About You: Experience working with primary-aged children in a childcare or education setting. Experience of leading or supervising a team. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities. Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities. Can build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues. Core hours are 3:30-6:00 PM(2 hour 30 minutes per day) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday + 2 hours for management of the club.
