Questions

Can this tell me my chance of getting a place?

No, and nothing here should be read that way. Admissions depend on each school's oversubscription criteria (siblings, looked-after children, faith, distance and more), which change every year. Only the admissions authority decides.

What does 'applications per offer' mean?

It's the number of times families named the school as any preference, divided by the number of offers the school made, from the DfE's school-level applications and offers data. Above 1 means more families listed the school than got an offer. It's a past figure, not a forecast.

What is the furthest distance offered?

Some councils publish the distance from the school of the last child offered a place under the distance criterion. We show it only where the council has published it, with the year and a link to the source.

How is distance measured here?

As a straight line from the centre of your postcode. Councils usually measure from your home address, sometimes by walking route, so their figure may differ.
