KS1 HLTA or Cover Supervisor

Core responsibilities include:

• Working closely alongside the class teacher with the delivery of high-quality learning
• Delivering individual and small group literacy and numeracy interventions
• Being responsible for the whole class on occasions
• Being part of the team responsible for the lunchtime supervision of children!

Essential qualities, skills and experience include:

• Caring, patient and highly motivated
• A good standard of written and spoken English and mathematics (including strong passes in

English and Maths GCSE’s/O’ Levels)

• Working with children in a primary school setting
• Supporting children with SEND and successful use of behaviour management techniques
• Appreciation and understanding of the importance of safeguarding

Desirable qualities, skills and experience include:

• Supporting phonics learning (LWLS would be ideal!)
• Level 2 qualification (or higher) for a Grade D position
• First Aid trained
