Job description

Part-time hours Casual zero hour contract We are a successful and ambitious 11-18 school with a focus on developing all members of our school community through our core principles: compassion, opportunity, resilience and discovery. Our school facilities are excellent, and our students achieve well as a result of their excellent behaviour and the first-class learning opportunities they receive. In May 2023, the school was recognised as ‘good’ in all categories by Ofsted and our outcomes are consistently among the highest in the county. We are seeking to appoint additional Exam Invigilators on a casual contract to join our friendly team. Successful applicants will receive the necessary training in order to understand exam board regulations and to ensure exams run smoothly. For full details on the role, please view the job description and person specification available. Working hours are between 8.00 am - 4.00 pm. Examinations mainly fall within the months of May and June, however additional invigilation requirements are required throughout the academic year. Enrich Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils and expects all those working at the Trust to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020). This means that certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’ and do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/new-guidance-on-the-rehabilitation-of-offenders-act-1974 For an informal discussion regarding this role please contact the Headteacher, Gareth Yassin by emailing: head@taverhamhigh.org
