Where a vacancy is shown as being based

The difference between the employer and the workplace.

Some vacancies are advertised by one organisation but based at another workplace — for example a local authority advertising a role in a specific school. We record the employer and the workplace separately, and only state a workplace when the evidence supports it.

If a vacancy shows the wrong organisation or workplace, report it and we will review the attribution.

Where the evidence only supports the advertising organisation, we show that and leave the workplace blank rather than guessing a school. This is also why a vacancy you advertise centrally is not counted as a school's own recruitment. Getting the attribution right matters for search, so a correction report is genuinely useful to us.
