About the role

J oin our dedicated Aspire Learning Hub team and help make a difference to the lives of young people. We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and resilient individuals who are passionate about supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, thrive in school and achieve their full potential. Working as part of our SEND/Inclusion Team, you will play a key role in supporting students' learning, wellbeing and personal development within a nurturing and highly inclusive environment. To support the learning, wellbeing, engagement and inclusion of students within the Aspire Learning Hub and wider school environment. Working under the direction of teachers and Inclusion staff, the post holder will help students overcome barriers to learning, develop independence, improve attendance and engagement, and achieve positive educational and personal outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute to the Trust's commitment to ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential through a nurturing, inclusive and relationship-based approach. Sir Harry Smith Community College is an 11-18 Academy, proud of its traditional values and innovative approaches to Teaching and Learning and its standards of discipline and respect. The College serves the market town of Whittlesey, seven miles outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The College is part of the Aspire Learning Trust working together with Park Lane and New Road Primary Schools, also in Whittlesey, to help every child achieve their full potential, to prepare them for their next educational steps, to teach them kindness and respect for all and to equip them to play a full satisfying role in society.
