Notifications and email settings

Updates about your account and your activity appear in your notifications. Service and security notices always appear, because you need them to use the account safely.

Optional communication settings decide whether an optional update is also requested by email. Where email delivery is not yet available, nothing on the platform claims an email was sent.

Marketing is separate from all of this and off unless you explicitly opt in; turning off an optional update never turns marketing on. Job alerts are their own subscription, so unsubscribing from an alert does not stop service notices, and marking notifications as read is personal to you and never changes the underlying record.
