    Deputy Nursery Manager Job Summary We are seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support alongside the nursery manager the daily operation at our nursery. The successful candidate will assist in managing and supervising staff, ensuring high standards of early years education, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood education and has previous supervisory experience such as a room leader or deputy manager experience. Duties and Responsiblities includee: * Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. * Support staff management, including supervising team members, organising rotas, and facilitating professional development. * Contribute to creating a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged from birth to five years. * Engage with children through play and educational activities, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. * Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and centre activities. * Ensure health and safety policies are strictly followed and maintained across the nursery. * Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes aligned with best practices. * Assist in maintaining accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and staff schedules. * Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or activities as required. Requirements * Previous experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting. * Previous supervisory experience preferred * Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety, safeguarding standards., policies and procedures * Ability to work effectively with children, staff, and parents in a professional manner and lead by example. * Childcare qualifications such as BA in Early Years Education or NVQ, CACHE Level 3 in Early Years or overseas equivalent * A caring and can do attitude combined with organisational skills and attention to detail.
