Working under the direction of the Lead Support Tutor for additional learning support, specific duties include assisting students in their work; preparation of rooms, equipment and materials, tracking learner progress as well as general individual assistance which may include attending to their health, safety, physical and hygiene needs. For the position, you will be qualified to at least Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE equivalent), Relevant experience or qualifications in an education or caring capacity, particularly supporting students or young people with learning difficulties and/or other disabilities is also desirable. You will also have a good knowledge of safeguarding and equal opportunities. A level 2 note taking qualification or equivalent is desirable. You will be a good communicator, enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to motivate others along with good organisational skills.
