    Support Assistant – SEN Schools Chorley & Skelmersdale | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | September Starts Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a genuine difference to young people's lives? We are recruiting Support Assistants to work across a number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Chorley and Skelmersdale , with both full-time and part-time positions available from September . This role is ideal for individuals from a range of backgrounds, particularly: • Ex-Forces personnel looking for a rewarding career change • Sports Coaches and PE Instructors • Youth Workers • Care and Support Workers • Teaching Assistants • Graduates considering a career in education • Individuals with experience supporting vulnerable people The Role As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a variety of additional needs, including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • ADHD • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs • Learning disabilities • Communication difficulties You will help students to access learning, develop social skills, build confidence and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities • Providing one-to-one and small group support • Assisting students in the classroom and throughout the school day • Supporting behaviour management strategies • Encouraging engagement in learning activities • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff • Promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing What We're Looking For You don't need previous school experience to be successful in this role.
