We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed individual to join the 17 strong team as a Trust IT Manager at The Laurus Trust. The successful applicant will be able to choose the most convenient base school location, either Cheadle Hulme High School, Didsbury High School or Laurus Ryecroft (Tameside). You will become a key member of the Laurus Trust family, and will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of dedicated IT professionals who support and service the IT function in a fast-paced environment across 6 secondary, 6 primary, 4 sixth forms and 1 alternative provision schools for over 10,000 users. You will become an integral part of an expanding and progressive organisation, and be a key contributor to the strategic development and maintenance of the Trust IT provision, managing a small team of Technicians which in turn will support the continued delivery of outstanding education to our students. As Trust IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance and delivery of IT systems, services and infrastructure across the Trust. You will provide strategic advice, manage large-scale IT projects, ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and support the effective use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and administrative operations. You will also deputise for the Trust IT Director when required. Job Purpose To support the IT Director with monitoring, development, maintenance and delivery of a responsive, effective and compliant IT provision across the Trust for all stakeholders. Responsible for managing a team of IT Technicians and IT Team Leaders to ensure that they provide a high-quality service across all schools in the Trust.
Sound educational background including GCSE’s Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent. Proven experience of working in 1st/2nd/3rd line support role. Proven experience of maintaining and supporting PC, server and networking equipment.
